Dunoon

It didn't look loke this when we arrived - there was little to be seen at all!
I wanted a chance to get a fast time for a 10k and it had to be a Saturday one, a friend came up with Dunoon. I'd never been there, it looked as if it should be fast and scenic and so I entered. There was also a half marathon and Mr Rat entered his first road half for 30 years to see how he would get on.
The rain stopped, the breeze eased a bit, the sun came and went, it got quite warm and a shower cooled us down. We both finished within our target times and I was first in my age category (well pleased as I'm more than half way through it! - though no prize)
Delicious burgers, a walk round the town to get the views and pleasant trip back to Gourock and the car.
Added bonus was the Waverley calling in - see extra.
