Arvin's New Toys
One photo today. It's one of those gray days when outside does not beckon and I was out playing bridge all morning, so here is Arvin in our dining room. On the right of the photo is a new little shelf unit where Arvin's new toys will go. One is there already. It is a space heater from the 1940s made by the Arvin company. I bought it for him as part of his birthday and Christmas presents. Just because it has his name. And we had an Arvin radio when I was growing up. I'm bidding on several of those on eBay to add to this new mini collection of Arvin stuff. He is enjoying the idea of having these neat vintage items with his name on them. Also in the picture on the right is a wonderful original painting of a mountain lion by our good friend DJ Cleland-Hura. We are close friends with DJ, Rikki and their kids and see them frequently when they come down from Vancouver BC to pick up mail or just to visit. Their three wonderful kids are our pseudo grand kids. I've blipped them before.
In the living room behind is my painting of a bridge in Venice, an old clock that needs repair and another painting by my friend Kathleen Walsh. You can also see our cat tower behind Arvin. Kitties rule in our house.
