Songbirds

My Dear Princess & Dear Fellows,

Today we were supposed to go and see Mission Colon Impossible Colon Fallout. But the movie theatre was booked SOLID.

Disappointing.

So instead we stayed inside and Cazza at one point said, "Holy effing ess look at that!"

It was a line of sparrows sitting on the balcony pointing at their open mouths and saying, "Ahem??"

They had been confined to their tree by the constant rain since the morning. As soon as it stopped, they were back. And hungry. I went outside to feed them and every bird in the neighbourhood stopped by. It was lovely. The cats thought so too, and crouched by the back door watching the whole performance.

And then I put on a documentary called "Miss Sharon Jones!" We were lucky enough to see her in concert at the Queen's Hall back in 2010, and she was amazing. Just this tiny ball of energy. So we loved her documentary, even though it left us feeling very sad. There is a really lovely bit of her singing to goats. It's really sweet, you can tell they are loving it and smiling at her.

Even goats appreciate a songbird.
