Day 105 - York Guided Tour & Museums
Took a rather wet and lengthy guided tour around York - which was both brilliantly entertaining and utterly free. Saw four different 'The Most Haunted House in York,' a toilet used by Henry VIII and the best address of the grand tour - '1 1/2 Whip-ma-whop-ma-gate.' You just can't make this stuff up. Continued on to the York Art Gallery then the Yorkshire Museum - the gardens of which house what remains of St Mary's Abbey. Rounded off the evening watching 'Strangers on a Train' in a Georgian House (Fairfax House). Complete with mulled wine. Of course.
