Kyles of Bute

Bit of a manic day getting ready for the weekend and next weeks race at Castle Combe. Tomorrow is the annual village fete so there has been a flurry of activity. I'm currently (10.45pm) waiting on my bakewell slices coming out of the oven and I'm probably going to have a sample of the marmalade bake which should be cool enough. Depending on their success, there may be a further batch of something produced before heading to bed. I'm also looking after the gin competition, the bottle stall and some of the kids games. Should be a good day if the weather stays dry. There will be a tractor display, a duck race and some heavy horses too so lots to see (and blip hopefully)
