Exhale

A great ride out in the morning, down through The Meldons and back via Romanno Bridge and West Linton. The sun came out eventually too.

Out and about in the afternoon for the first of this year's Festival / Fringe activities, getting in a few of the cheap previews and 2for1s during the opening few days. First up was a powerful piece of theatre about gun violence in the USA, and then after food and drink and meeting up with our old pal Pete, it was off to a show by Kieran Hodgson (who'd I seen do a Lance Armstrong piece a few years back) all about Brexit and the UK and how the whole EU thing came about in the 1970s. Very enjoyable, but not sure all of the audience quite knew who Arthur Scargill or Enoch Powell were, let alone appreciated quite how accurate Kieran's impersonations of them were! But for those of us old enough (or therabouts) to remember...
