Steaming Sunset

After the unremitting heat of the last few weeks, rain clouds rolled in this afternoon. As I drove over the mountains from Rieti the road was like a river. Layers of low cloud and mist transformed the view. I nipped out this evening at last light as the mist was settling in the valley. If it was not for the Turkish bath humidity , this view could almost have been Scotland.
