Proper job!!

Number one moved to Newquay in January with her boyfriend. From Jersey, where they had a perfectly lovely life, but where rent is extortionate, and getting on the property ladder is nigh on impossible. After a family wedding in August, Number one applied for a job and they moved. A move that was disastrous from the outset. A storm landed a branch on their car, writing it off. The same storm cancelled their Ferry so they couldn't take their belongings and pets and with a job to start they set off together without them. Flights were cancelled due to the weather, and they landed in Bristol with the long drive down to Newquay. First on the scene of an accident. Head on collision. Then very upset number one because the job was too much and they had given up everything for nothing.
Long story short, job was sorted, pets and belongings collected and life was ok, except unemployment is high there and boyfriend had to take a minimum wage job. Hats off to him though, he has stuck it out, sat some exams and secured himself that proper job!! It does say 'gone fishing' on the reverse!!

Feeling better today. Not moved very far but human again.
