Traffic

We set off for our weekend away in high spirits but hit trouble within a few miles. There was a long traffic jam on the A3 and then another just outside Farnham. The M3 was totally clogged up, not moving, but luckily we spotted it before we were committed. After Basingstoke, having taken two hours to do a one hour journey, we stopped for a bite to eat. In the afternoon session we encountered two diversions and two more traffic jams! The journey, which should have taken less than three hours, took nearly five.
We were so pleased to arrive eventually at Paul and Pauline's house with a warm welcome and a cup of tea! Looking forward to a happy weekend with old friends.
