Fallow Deer

Our large herd of Fallow Deer are confined to the estate of Dallam Towers. But for many years a group of about 20 have lived wild near Silverdale. Today in our local National Nature Reserve we spotted a small group with some youngsters.

My extra is a sad reflection of the problems which some of our forest workers face.
