Second chance!

This was the work that I did at my furniture restoration class last night.

It is the first time I have been let lose with chisels and mallet, all fingers present and correct at the end of the session!

The aim is to cut a recess to slot in a wooden butterfly to strengthen the join between the two pieces of wood.

Busy day in to town this morning for a hair appointment and to change two faulty items for replacements!!

Book club this afternoon at my house, so a quick dust round before everyone arrived!! There was so much chat that I don't think anyone would have noticed if we were knee deep in it!!

Three books collected to be read, plus many others on the shelves, so a good selection. Just have to find some time!!
