Fire!

I was off to view a house this morning so of course took my favourite route up Constitution Steps. When I stopped to take the normal photograph I spotted all this smoke. It’s a scrapyard in the north of the island. A massive heap of tyres has caught fire and reports say that the nearby church is at risk. Years ago a big chunk of its graveyard fell into the quarry along with the graves and that of Linda Martel was only just saved. Linda was a faith healer who died at the age of five. I’m not a believer of faith healing and neither was my dad but he worked with Linda's father who gave him a piece of Linda’s clothing. Belief or not my dad’s long standing back problem disappeared...
