Back blip

Several weeks ago, one of my friends asked me if I fancied a day-out in Aberdeen at the end of July. We agreed a date that suited and so we found ourselves in the 'Granite City' on Monday. A most enjoyable day was had, walking around and seeing the sights.

I had a short time before my train home and after my friend had caught hers and  came across this new memorial to the fishermen and women of Aberdeen. It was unveiled as recently as the end of June, and commemorates the major contribution fishing has made to the city's life and heritage, and the men and women who lived, worked and died in the industry.
