Gas meter thefts?

I managed to get out of my 1-to-1 with my manager at work today which was probably my highlight of the day.

I popped into Birmingham at dinner time today and the have started putting together the German market. I remember when the German market stared in brum as there were just a few stalls. Now the stalls are about a mile long. As I work in brum and see the German market each year the novelty has wore off. All I see now is a packed high street because of the german market and people getting in my way when I go out dinner time. Bar humbug!!!!

When I got home I had recieve a letter from the police saying that gas meters are being pinched on my estate (pic). Have times become so desperate that you have to put your life at risk to pinch and sell a gas meter for a couple of quid?

I wonder if the timing of the letter has anything to do with the voting for the election of the police and crime commissioner on Thursday or is it just coincidence??
