Pearl

An almost translucent Mother of Pearl was the highlight of an after work wander down to Tong Park.

It was late in the day but there were still a few butterflies about: Small, Large and Green-veined White, several Small Copper and single Meadow Brown and Gatekeeper. The Ringlets seem to have finished and there have been distinct lack of Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell, normally stalwarts of mid to late summer.

I also had fun watching dragonflies, probably Common Hawker, but they were too busy hawking to pause for a photo.
