Artichoke
Saltaire is the wonderful world heritage site, but it hasn’t always been protected. The washroom built in 1863 had 24 baths, 12 for each sex, a Turkish Bath and a well equipped wash house.. it closed in 1894 and was converted into cottages. They were demolished in 1936. In 2011 the land was converted into a garden and is maintained by volunteers. I often sit and eat my lunch in there. At the moment the artichokes are just stunning, and just perfect for blipping.
