The M6

A journey that should have taken three hours. It took seven and a half hours to get this far. Mile after mile of roadworks and tail backs. Blistering heat. Motorway closed north and south after two horrific road crashes.

Abandoned the journey and sought sanctuary in a hotel. Huge fan in the room (tick) and cold beers in the bar (tick). Will resume tomorrow.
