Middleton Lakes

We met John and Jennie at the Green Man in the village of Middleton, Staffs. It's the first time any of us have been there and we had an excellent lunch and a catch-up chat.

From there we went to Middleton Hall, the close-by National Trust property, and took a walk in the adjacent Middleton RSPB reserve.  The weather was warm and sunny, though there was shade amongst the trees by the lakes.
