Dumfries & Galloway

Today's the day …………………………… for pastures new

We have become very fond of the scenery, flowers and wildlife of Dumfries & Galloway in the far south west of Scotland.

It's not so dramatic and rugged as the scenery of the Lake District - but it has its own gentle charm and a great variety of habitats.  There are moorlands, forests, fertile rich valleys and rivers and the added advantage that the sea is never very far away.  But, most of all it's a quiet corner of Scotland with room to breathe and take in the peace and quiet.

We like it so much there that today we have set things in motion to make it the place that will be our permanent home.  It's all very exciting and we're crossing our fingers that it will all work out for us.
