Oak tree obsession...

My brother and sister-in-law are busy preparing the nursery for their baby's arrival and have asked me to paint a mural on one of the walls - a tree, into which animals can be added now and then. I'm not an artist, but I'm having a go, and as I only have a few days free to plan it over the next two weeks, and two days to do it in while I'm there on holiday, I've got to have a good plan!
I've decided on an oak with a robin and a red squirrel and maybe a deer (but this might be a bit ambitious). So every chance I get, I'm taking photos of oaks and picking up oak leaves, and sketching trees...

I'll blip it in progress (unless it's a total disaster!).
