Red oak

After ice skating with Holiday club children we had a picnic in Kensington Gardens, and one of the children asked me what tree we were sitting under. Although the leaves looked oak-like I was puzzled by the fruit, but from later investigation it appears they are immature fruit from a Red Oak. I think!
