Frog Rescue

It’s continued to rain which is a great relief! The rain is making some of the water-loving creatures come out. The slugs have returned and late last night I saw two frogs in my back garden. And this morning I found one in my garage. (Or is it a toad?)

I decided there were more appropriate places for him to be, so I captured him like I might have caught a bug or a spider, and released him near my pond. I assume that made him happy - he slowly hopped away and a few minutes later he hopped right into the water.

That helped me get on with a garage clear-up, without worrying that a frog was going to jump at me!

I cleared away a messy section and then my very kind neighbour came over and put together some very sturdy deep shelves for me. I supervised! I’m slowly creating order out of chaos!

That done, I went off to the charity shop and then to the tip, ran a couple of errands and that was about all the energy I could muster for today. It sure feels better with the lower temperature. What a relief!

Rumour has it that the hot weather is going to return, however!
