The Remains of a Cake

No one was more surprised than I to find the cake for the book group last night, not only edible but praised as well. Thanks be!

This is all that is left..... there was a artistic sliver left as well which would have helped the composition of this blip, but unfortunately his Lordship saw fit to have it for breakfast before I unleashed my camera; and he wonders why I hide things.

I would like a cupboard with a padlock so that I can be assured that my edible photographic props are not tampered with or consumed under the banner of 'tidying up'.

Artistic temperament salved, we paid another visit to the Dovecot Tapestry Studios this morning to see the exhibition commissioned by 'Panel' of rugs designed by seven painters, including John Byrne.

'Panel' is Glasgow based and is the brain child of daughter #4,Lucy, and her business partner Catriona. It was set up to promote Scottish crafts, old and new in exhibitions.

For this one, they have sourced a lot of material from the archives about rug and carpet making of old, in factories like Templeton's and Stoddarts in Glasgow.

The rugs on display are on sale as limited editions, but the prices are such that Ikea need not feel threatened.
