Polished Shoes

Tomorrow is Armistice Day, as well as Remembrance Sunday and the members of our fire station will be at the local war memorial for the service.
So, today, I've shot my uniform shoes that I've been polishing for the last couple of days and that I'll be wearing at the parade.
Th trouble is that I am not happy with them and I think, after tomorrow, I'll strip them back and re-polish them.
