The Bringer

One of the interesting things about working on the sculpture project is that I'm being asked to photograph a lot of Andy Scott's early work long before he produced the Kelpies.

The Bringer dates back to 1991.  Its actually in a bit of a state and could do with some TLC.   Apparently the fibreglass is treated with a chemical retardent which makes it easy to clean when defaced, but there is no sign of anyone having attempted to clean it for many years.  

When working on the other side (not shown here) the artist was asked to simplify the naked 'detail'  at the front in order not to cause offence to passers-by!
