Tiny Fly

Okay, I know this isn't perfectly in focus, but it's the best I could do with something this size. He was about 3 milimetres long and wouldn't stay still. Here he is perched on a single stamen of a clematis.

If nothing else, I liked the effect of getting that close to the stamens.

Initially I thought this was a sandfly but now I'm not so sure.
