Monday Morning & Blue

I got up at 6 as usual after not sleeping too well - it's too warm.

Got to work at 7 as per usual.  It was 28°C in my office.  I opened all the windows and the temperature didn't go down.  It went up.

We got to 30°C at 10:30 (despite all the windows being closed and the shutters being down.).

And the temperature went up.

The building that I work in has air-conditioning on every other floor apart from ours.  Air-conditioning is not standard in German offices.  I still do not understand why.

My colleague and I were the only ones in our office and we had to work together on a good few things.  I noticed that he was getting more and more impatient as the day wore on.

We encountered a small problem just after 3 this afternoon and he nearly flipped.  I said it could wait until tomorrow and we both could just go home.  He agreed and so we left to go home.

His bus arrived on time.

Mine didn't.  My bus was late as always.

It's also the last week of the school holidays in Hessen and that meant that lots of people are back at work.  Which meant that my bus ran into the first traffic jam of the summer.  Hilarious when it's over 30°C in your bus and you're not going anywhere.

Let's just say I was glad to get home (eventually).

More of the same expected for every day this week.

I can't wait.
