Wound up in Wexford

We bought 2 plants last year and in the autumn, decided they would have to take their chances in the ground.  Despite the really rather long and cold winter, the very wet spring, and the recent prolonged drought*, they have both re-emerged, and are flowering generously.

Today started very squally, but this afternoon the sun has returned and it's really rather pleasant out there, if somewhat windy still.  The garden will be all the better for the rain - in fact, we could have done with several days of it.

*Admittedly, we have been watering through the recent dry spell.
