Pattern

I didn't blip my weaving yesterday as I had an outdoor, almost daylight alternative figuring it would come in handy one dark rainy day - and here it is already.

It's my first attempt at a fancy overshot pattern and I'm quite liking the whole getting circles using straight lines thing. Weaving reminds me of lots of things I was fascinated by as a child and the different ways you could use straight lines to create curves was one of them. I'm going to just treat it as a sampler and a try a couple of things with the different wefts I have on the go but I'm hoping it will be long enough to be a table runner for the dining table.

Tiring day at work, interviewing all day long followed by my least favourite phone calls to the unsuccessful candidates. I always try to give constructive feedback so they can learn and improve and I was hoarse by the end of the day.

Relaxing evening with a delicious Hairy Dieters dinner - Cajun chicken and spiced wedges, knitting and a couple of episodes of Homeland.

I've got a busy week on with lots happening at work so trying to stay chilled and hold on to my sanity. Wish me luck!
