Cathedral Park

A peaceful and deserted little park under one of Portland’s many bridges, a popular place for wedding photos

We ate a huge breakfast then spent an hour in the vast Powell’s Bookstore - had to drag Sarah out. After that we drove to Cathedral Park and also the Japanese Gardens - the extra is especially for Robert10, not quite Greenhead Park boating lake.

It is frighteningly hot this afternoon so we have done some shopping and are now awaiting the arrival of three of my cousins whom I have never met. Well be meeting three more tomorrow and another three later in the week, all the descendants of my Mum’s sister who married an American sailor during the war, we are all very excited.

We managed to sleep from 7pm to 5am so we’re pretty well adjusted. Well, as regards time anyway.....
