Monarch....

I went home after church this morning to get Tom & we drove over to Grant Park for a little walk along the beach. The coneflowers in the restoration area were all blooming, and there were lots of monarchs flying around them. Even though I had my long lens, I kept creeping forward to get nearer to the monarch, which didn't seem in the least bothered by me. The picture is right out of the camera, with no cropping; I don't think I was more than 2 feet away from it when I took this.
 Our run of gorgeous weather continues, Tom's been feeling good, and he's gained back 4.5 of the 8 pounds he'd lost, so I'm a "happy camper"!   :))
