Driven around the bend

The news is driving me nuts.
Spineless and incompetent BBC executives; Colluding energy suppliers; Tax avoiding multinationals; Abu Qatada coming in on a false passport and being allowed to fight extradition; The Green Party saying we should take a hike in fuel prices and instead pay a reduced VAT rate - why? So we can spend the money we've just saved buying other stuff on getting from A to B?
