Colocasia?

I bought this vegetable from  Morrison's store. I put it in a warm place, where it sprouted, before planting it in the front garden.

I like it for the footage. It's leaves are huge. It dies down every winter, and returns in the spring, like my bannana plants. I'm trying to find it's ID on a tropical plant forum, as I have forgotten it's name.
