Gone fishin'
Today we went up to the polytunnels in Glen Lonan and were surprised to see a huge crop of runner beans - mind you, it has been several weeks since we were last there. We're going to end up again with far too many but we can always give the spares to Hope Kitchen. We took all the onions and dug a bucket full of tatties and admired someone else's grapes - see extra.
On the way back we detoured through Taynuilt and down the lane to Loch Etive. A trio of guys were setting up camp and getting a fire going and one of them asked if I was 'Having a good day, my friend', or something similar. 'Did you know that Glen Etive is the second best Glen in Scotland?' I had to ask which was the best and was told 'Glen Affric'. Then - 'You don't get views like this in England!', I had to disagree and they did accept that the Lake District wasn't too bad!
This is one of them fishing in the mouth of the River Awe where it runs into Loch Etive. A very lovely spot.
