Light pollution isn't always bad - if there's nothing but cloud cover, sometimes it can be quite effective as a backdrop!

Yes - trying to convince myself but as I stood in the middle of a soggy field in the dark to get this I'm going to go with it :o)

Thank you for the reaction to Verdant Veils :o) I think it might be one of my favourites that I've taken - I just love landscapes. I don't want to just limit myself to one area (I can't really anyway if I want to get a photo every day) - but if I had to I wouldn't hesitate to pick landscapes. I just love the way the same scene can be different from one minute to the next, how so many elemental factors can have a bearing on the photo. I think that's why even when it gets dark, I still want to get a landscape of some sort.
