hidden treasure

this "Christmas" cactus was lurking, forgotten on a window cill - then I realised it was covered in buds. It's been superb and has even forgiven me for moving it.
Had a swim this evening and have done quite a lot of cooking, having been away for the weekend the veg box was threatening to overwhelm us. I realise I have just moved the problem on a stage, instead of heaps of veg looking reproachful in the veg basket, I now have a load of cooked food, needing to be eaten. Yotam Ottolenghi's sweetcorn chowder tomorrow!
