Cockshott Point

Thank you so much for the response to yesterday’s Painted Lady.

We set off for the Lakes at lunchtime and called in at the event centre to pick up our race numbers and information for the week. The A66 was surprisingly quiet.

We arrived at our cottage shortly after three pm and had a wander down to Lake Windermere to let Jet stretch his legs. This is the view towards Cockshott Point and Belle Isle. Although it looks quiet the tourist boats were out in force. Fortunately we dodged the frequent showers!

We had a very enjoyable evening meal with Stephen at the Brown Horse at Winster. It was good for Stephen to have a change of scenery and cooler temperatures to London. Although a pity he has to return tomorrow for a court case on Monday.

I have been persuaded to leave the comments on. Apologies for a lack of comments over the next two weeks.
