It's cool enough to cook

Now that the weather is slightly cooler, I can approach the oven without fear.

To celebrate, we have three dishes from the 1982 BBC book by Madhur Jaffrey.

There will always be a place in my life for this superb Chef/TV presenter.

So we have "Royal" beef in a creamy, almond sauce, Chana dal and Gujarati-style green beans.
