Silly Saturday: A Queen, a White Moon, no Mars

Spent ages last night running to the window to try and catch the Red Moon. Alas, as forecast, too cloudy.

Meanwhile sister-in-law said she saw Queen Mary 2 leaving Southampton. Checked my app and found the Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2 were both heading to New York and now passing by the Isle of Wight.

After hanging around for some time I found one of the Queens on the horizon. You can just pick out the lights. By then the cloud was clearing, so was able to blip a “post eclipse Moon”. But sadly Mars had slipped behind another cloud.

So all in all a SILLY photo shoot and no red moon
