Soldier On

I think it was the hottest day ever. I don't think I've experienced heat like it.

This evening didn't quite go as planned. The plan was to meet in The Dog and Duck at 5, have a couple of drinks, order a curry and take it back to ours. Unfortunately, just as we got to the pub, the heavens opened and 5 weeks worth of rain fell very heavily, noisily and torrentially. There was no room in the pub so we dashed back to ours and opened a few bottles and had curry for 14 delivered from the curry house. 
A lovely evening was had and some welcome respite from the heat and much needed rain for the gardens was gratefully received.
