Hot and Dry

Things around here are hot and dry and turning brown. This happens every summer, though usually not quite so dry or quite so brown until mid-August. Even this garden hose looks like it gave up and refuses to budge.
We water things sparingly, but I wish I could send the water down to California to help fight the fires.
