Inveraray

Another iconic view, arriving at Inveraray.
This whole town was relocated as the original township was spoiling the view from the castle, so the Laird had it shifted. There are a still a couple of utensils, frying pan etc, built into the wall bordering the road and castle grounds.
Seems to me that the town has been upgraded since our last visit 4 years ago. A big new boutique hotel and the arch facade looking spruced up. Just needs the pier reinstated, which the locals want to do.
