The Tour

After waking to a basket of fresh baked goods in a basket hanging by our door, we fortified ourselves for our full day in Rome.

We joined a tour of the Vatican museum, taking in the history along with the beautiful sculptures, paintings and tapestries. We took a moment in the stunning Sistine Chapel - shh you're not allowed to speak in there and you're not allowed to take photos...

To finish the tour we were able to take in the opulence and grandeur of St Peter's bascilica

As if all that walking wasn't enough, we dodged the traders flogging cheap tat and picked our way to Castillo St Angelo and over Ponte St Angelo
