Round 4

Took a friend along today. Wasn't the party atmosphere, ward was short staffed, no refreshments even had to go in search of water. No nails, icecream, cake. I take my hat off to the staff though, they do so well under such difficult circumstances. Two patients were proper poorly, vomity poorly, one dear lady who is fighting secondary ovarian cancer and has been given a new treatment with only a predicted survival of 20% was nearly sent home because an incomplete blood panel had been run. Another patient with dangerously low blood pressure.

The message I keep hearing is about early detection and survival. I was so incredibly lucky with a vigilant husband who noticed something different in my breast. There are blood tests for ovarian and prostrate cancer. Ask for the tests. Don't be frightened, it's your right, and your duty to yourselves and your family to know your bodies. 99 times out of 100 will be fine. I am going to be fine too.
