Long

A long, exciting, hot, sweaty, tiring, brilliant day.

I wanted to send a gift up to a very special little boy in Glossop but this meant being up at 6.30 when daddio was driving past. Nothing particularly out of the ordinary there except that I was up past midnight last night.

Early to work to get cracking on stuff before I was due to meet Gareth and go up to the top of St Chad's (a favour to help out with some photos I'm taking for St George's Church). So awesome to get to see Shrewsbury from that perspective. Fascinating to hear all the little facts that Gareth was full of. And thankfully, some stone steps to get up to the top.

Then a manic rest of the day trying to get all my end of term work done. Thankfully every single item on my list was ticked off in time for me and the Ellies to head down to St George's for their afternoon tea, hosted to raise money for SYFC. Got to do my second church tower of the day. However, this one was decidedly more terrifying. I kept hoping that the guy leading the way would realise that this was in breach of every single health and safety rule ever written and that we should head back down. Not so much. The Ellies now know that I'm scared of heights and I feel that they may use this information against me. I think the views were worth the terror.

Just a couple more jobs tomorrow and then it's camping time again!
