Spiritual Shindig

Today we went to the little village of Datchworth, Herts for the funeral of our friend Mary who we taught with years ago. Mary was American, witty and funny, described today as a "friend magnet".
It was a red, white and blue funeral. Everyone dressed in one, two or all of these colours.

It was a lovely ceremony which started from the family home and where we all walked behind the hearse along the country lanes to the church.

This shot is of the end of Mary's garden with her cut out sheep and a cow!

The extra is the order of service for the delightfully titled "Spiritual Shindig". Mary would have loved it.
