Glad I went?

Al wanted to come and see Alison Moyet in Edinburgh tonight. He told me this back in March and insisted I get tickets. So I did.

Fast forward almost eight months and when I reminded him at the start of the week, he said he couldn't come now. That was all very well but I'd paid for the tickets and he wasn't intending to recompense me. It was too late to try and sell them, besides back in March he'd said to get good-ish seats, so I'd opted for £50 ones. Who was going to pay £100 for two Alison Moyet tickets at such short notice? Anyone who was a fan at that price would surely already be going? I hadn't even really wanted to see her in the first place - I was only going to chum him to be honest. But .... neither did I want to waste two tickets ....

So I asked Alex (mainly a Classical Music fan) if she would like to come. My treat. Heck, I'd already forked out for them. She had never heard of Alison Moyet before but was happy to attend. She seemed to like her, so that was good!
