In pensive mood
Our short stay in London has been quite thought provoking. This morning we went to the Old Bailey and were able to go to the public gallery where we saw the judges summing up in a murder trial. This was sobering stuff and unlike films and tv, oh so real.
We then made our way to Westminster to sit in the public gallery there - no such luck. There was to be a debate on fuel duty but events at the BBC have overtaken events and we were denied access.
So we walked through the grounds of Westminster Abbey where there were hundreds of thousands of small crosses each adorned with a poppy. Today's blip is approximately one sixth of those displayed.
I seemed to have gone through every emotion in the last few days but the sight of all those crosses will linger.
