The Bogey Hole

Bobs challenge for this week was Old.  Well the Bogey hole was built by convict labour in the early 1800s and from a white European settlement viewpoint would be one of the oldest structures in the Newie region.

It was closed for many years as deemed unsafe but reopened a few years back only to close again and then reopen.  It is quite popular in the Summer but I have seen Octupus lurking in its depths and it is a bit of a hike to it from King Edward Park on a hot Summers day.  Still there was no one there tonight and very peaceful with the moon high in the sky.
