frank 's taxi

frank is a bodhisattva masquerading as an ordinary taxi driver. after we were unable to fill the tank of our Zipcar, (odd day, even numbered license plate) due to gas rationing, and despite being 'off duty,' he picked us up and drive us to Grand Central station.

after dropping us off, he planned to visit an 82 year old woman stuck in the hospital. His only connection to her is that she has been a sometimes passenger in his taxi and he wanted to help her. (she actually didn't need to be hospitalized but she was 'stuck' there because she had been displaced by the storm.)

we would never have met this lovely human being if not for Sandy.
